Dear Mrs. Reagan

And you are Mrs. Reagan because Mr. Reagan loves you with all his heart. Every time Mr. Reagan sees the evening star or blows out the birthday candles or gets the big end of the wishbone he thinks the same wish—a prayer really—that so much happiness will go on and somehow be deserved by him.

It is true sometimes that Mr. Reagan loses his temper and slams a door but that’s because he can’t cry or stamp his foot—(he isn’t really the type.) But mad or glad Mr. Reagan is head over heels in love with Mrs. Reagan and can’t even imagine a world without her—

He loves her

Mr. Reagan

gosh, i really adore these two.

the unwilling poet

miguu:

there are poems in my tea
in my doorway
around my neck

there are poems
from your eyes to your hands
(on a daily basis. how in love they are)
gently sweeping across my thighs

i am unwilling sometimes
to swim the steam
to swallow the words
from
the air.

I am
a series of
small victories
and large defeats
and I am as
amazed
as any other
that
I have gotten
from there to
here.

“Eleanor & Park reminded me not just what it’s like to be young and in love with a girl, but also what it’s like to be young and in love with a book.”
So John Green reviewed Eleanor & Park inThe New York Times this weekend, and I don’t have enough exclamation points to express how I’m feeling.
If you’d like to read my book, you can find it in lots of great bookstores — and online here:

THIS BOOK, GUYS. This was an amazing book that has stuck with me, days later. READ IT.

A coworker got on to me for referring to myself as a fat girl. I tried to explain that “fat” is not a bad word, it’s a descriptor. I’m a fat girl, but I’m a lot of other things, too. (Also, reading this book.)
